Hi,

I've been getting constant blue screens for a while and decided it was time to just give in and reinstall windows, however I seem to be getting constant errors while trying to do a clean install. The most frequent is 'windows cannot install required files. Make sure that all files required for installation are available and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070013' any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm usually fine figuring this kind of thing out but I honestly have no idea what is up with it.

Cheers

Hi Tom :)

The 0x80070013 error code you get from Windows 10 indicates that you are trying to install a driver on your computer that is already installed, or you're installing one that is less compatible with your hardware than the one that you already have.

As you are doing a clean installation of the OS then best is to format the drive.(Don't forget to back up important files)

Are you using the ISO file and Media Creation Tool.?

Once the drive is correctly formatted, use the media creation tool to complete the installation.

Cheers for the response, I actually managed to get windows installed in the end just by leaving it for a day. It still seems kind of unstable but I'll leave it a few days and see if it improves.
