So soon I'll have to clean install Windows 10 Education due buying an extra HDD for more space for my Virtual Machines.

When I spoke about it, some friends of mine said I need to contact support in order to use the same CD Key.

However, when I read articles on the internet, they say you don't need to do anything because MS Servers recognize my hardware and automatically assign the same CD Key to my PC.

So, what do I actually need to do to Clean Install Windows 10 Education on this PC after I've put in an extra HDD? (OS image will be installed on same SSD as it was before)

Do I need to contact support to do something or not?

If yes, how do I contact them? All I've come across were forums but can't rly find a link to contact them directly about this.

Thanks

As long as it's the same 10 OS that was activated before , the new HDD usually doesn't matter it will reactivate based on the hardware profile from before.

So the new HDD doesn't need to be part of the new hardware profile?
