Hello everyone in the T.H.W community, I'm hoping some of you more technical people can lend me a hand, and I'm in desperate need! (This post may be quite lengthy, however I do believe it would be of the better just to make the situation clear.)

I was downloading a game on steam (Arma 3) and headed off to work, as my speeds are quite slow I locked my computer through the ctrl+alt+del menu just to let it finish while I'm away. I came back from work, turned my monitor back on and the screen was black, it said it had an input but no color on the screen what-so-ever, the fans where running idly as they usually were, and all of my LEDS where on as well. The cables where fine, so was all of the ports on my GPU. I hit the space-bar and clicked the mouse a few times to wake it up I also left it for a few minutes but it didn't respond. I clicked the reset button on my front panel and the computer started to reboot, However..

This time, just after the screen asking me if I want to get into the BIOS I had the logo of my motherboard (Asus Sabertooth S z170) along with 'Preparing automatic repair' underneath. It didn't boot into windows or repair it for that matter. It kept rebooting giving me the 'Preparing automatic repair' screen. I left it to do this process for about 15 minutes however still didn't do anything so I just waited for the bios option screen and went in.

I then proceeded to download windows 10 media creation tool and install all the files onto a USB thumbdrive formated in FAT32 (as they are normally) and I chucked it into one of the USB slots in the back of my motherboard, I disconnected my SSD and two other HDD's that didn't have windows installed (All just footage and games) leaving my HD with windows on it (Corrupted most likely D: ) and the USB installer.

As you can see from the video I made below about it (The video is unlisted so the link is here) I tried installing it but it wont work, whether I have the HD plugged in or not, and when I try and click on the windows UEFI installer partition it just reboots my computer and does nothing. I'm really desperate for help as it was working perfectly not even 2 days ago. Thanks for all the help in advance.

I have tried turning fast boot off and sadly nothing has changed, did you watch the video I linked at the bottom? Thanks for trying to help by the way, gives me hope lol

Just pretty annoyed at windows/my hardware/or whatever is causing this.

I did watch it, its how i saw the boot priority is only showing the USB, did you remove the hdd from the list? Is bios seeing the hdd at all when it is plugged in? I don't think installer will do much if there is no hdd inside for it to install onto.

Are you from Australia as you sound like it... sorry if you not :)

what size is the USB?

So bios can't see drive? that could explain the corruption on both installs if hdd itself is to blame.

Curious, does it see ssd (I don't want you to install onto ssd, just looking for a different reaction from installer and the computer)

I recognised accent, i am from there myself :)

No, I mean when its plugged in it (it being my HD with the corrupted windows) can see the drive along with windows boot manager etc, however when I go to install windows from the USB it does what it does in the video either way.

My main problem here is what was showcased in the video. As I cant even install windows as of now.

I wonder if its the USB drive causing it. wonder why it sees it twice in the boot priority, and why the uefi USB choice doesn't so anything.

can you make another iso or did you use your PC to do it? Sometimes the media creation tool messes up the USB format, so using https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-usb-flash-drive-create-install-windows-10-a.html#option2 might be a better choice.

I can't see anything specific about your Motherboard not booting off USB. I have to change settings in mine for it to even recognise a USB but yours seems better, it just won't boot off that USB right now.

Sorry for being slow to get the point :)
