Windows 10 crashes on new Lenovo laptop when not plugged in

I just upgraded to Windows 10 on a brand new Lenovo Z50 laptop. It crashes whenever it is not plugged in with the error message THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
I assume there is some driver that I'm forgetting to download that is related to the battery or something?

Fascinating issue! Sorry, couldn't help myself. Several people experiencing the same issue, with the same laptop model, have been told to update their BIOS to the latest version here:

This should resolve your issues.
