Hi There,
I am trying to get Windows 10 on a usb for my new computer, so I purchased a 8GB USB, then when I tried downloading it to the USB it could not find the USB, yet I could navigate through it and move/delete files from it. Its a brand new usb and has nothing on it. The format is FAT32.

The brand is called GoldenMars, also its a Flash Disk is that the same thing as a flash drive?

Also why does it say it has 7.61Gb avaliable? Is the 290MB just the format or something?
Any help please.
Thanks.

Solution
easiest way to get your windows 10 on a usb is get ruffus...
it will find your usb stick, format/make it boot etc. simple and automated. I use it for Linux, Windows and other usb bootable I need.

Hello again, @jesseprior1!

Maybe you should find another flash drive or lend one from a friend, then attempt to create the bootable media with it. In case you cannot find one, try doing this procedure from another computer to see if you will be able to successfully format it. Do you get any error messages? Can you provide more details?
Posting some screenshots would be really helpful, too.

Yes theres screenshots in the post, click on the links. Its a brand new USB I just purchased, I dont see why its not working,.

I did see this, @jesseprior1. However, I'd still recommend finding another USB drive to create the bootable Windows 10 drive. If you don't have access to one, try using a DVD disk then. I don't know why it's not working as there shouldn't be any issues with creating a bootable media with flash drives.
Either way, check how if it would work with a different one.

I had your same issue. Exactly the same and i found no solution with the windows creation tool. I did what The Paladin suggested.

Use the windows media creation tool. and instead of preparing the bootable USB option select the "Download .iso" option. It will download the iso file for windows 10. Once you have it use the Rufus tool (the one Paladin suggested) and prepare the bootable USB with it.

After that it worked perfectly. Windows installed without any issue.
