So glad I switched to Debian. I run Windows 7 inside KVM with a GPU passed through for gaming.
Windows 10 is so far behind. Its unnecessary bloat is very evident when you switch to a decent Linux distribution. Debian 9 (Not even a stable release yet) has been absolutely flawless on my hardware. All my Windows only stuff runs inside a VM that performs natively (I have before and after benchmarks).
Basically, if I dont have to run it on Windows, I wont. Garbage OS. Windows Server 2016 is just as bad, which is scary. Deploying it for production use is just painful.[/quot

I have a question. You said: "Windows 10 is so far behind. Its unnecessary bloat is very evident when you switch to a decent Linux distribution."
Can you 'splain that a little more? Reason I ask is we have a couple of Win 10 PCs which I built. With plenty of RAM and an SSD they both boot up in about 8 or 10 secs. from the start of the Windows logo and programs mostly launch quicker than before. Of course, a couple of my games take longer to do their little are-you-authorised-please-wait-while-we-check-zzzzzz before the game actually launches, but they've always done that so no big deal there. There are definitely features/apps on Win 10 we haven't (or won't) use but, hey, even my Linux rig in the uitility room has a few of those. So, why is Windows 10 "so far behind"? And, if Win 10 built-in apps/features don't interfere with my useful apps & games then why are they "unnecessary bloat"?
