Question Windows 10 Defender - StorageMonitor.exe

Windows Defender flags a program (amsi: \Device\HarddiskVolume13\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\StorageMonitor.exe) as an issue/virus. I think the program is from Microstar International.

As far as I can tell this program got loaded when I installed a new MB and the Asus drivers for it (Asus Z-790-e with the i13900-K CPU). Microsoft support ended by saying it is a third party app and they have no information why Defender is flagging it.

Is this possibly just a false positive or potentially a real issue? TIA.

Have you scanned your system with any other apps, like Malwarebytes?

Yes, and Malwarebytes doesn't flag "StorageMonitor.exe".....Microsoft Chat help didn't know what the issue is in Defender.....they opted to point the finger at the developers of the program, which I am not sure who or what that is other than MSI. Suggestions? TIA.
