Hello everyone!

I have been struggling with an annoying issue since I built my desktop about two weeks ago and I am pretty sure it is related to Windows specifically. The problem I am having regards the "Steam Client" as when I launch the program it takes up to about 1-2 minutes before the program actually runs. The reason I do not think this is the clients issue would be that I look at task manager > processes and notice that when I make the request, Windows does not display and process the request for that long period of time. Anything else I run on the machine loads and appears in task manager within seconds, except for Steam.

There is not much online for help as most people from what I read experienced this issue back in 2012 when Steam was upgrading and making compatibility for MAC/Linux OS... but that has nothing to do with the fact that Windows does not load the request (Yet again why I think this is a Windows problem, not Steam Client).

I have already tried the following;
  • Re-installing Steam
  • Running in compatibility mode
  • Refreshing Windows files
Listed below will be my specs as I know this is not related to hardware. I also have Steam installed on my main (C) drive which is a SSD.

Safe to assume your Steam Client is installed on the 1TB SSD?

Personally, I'm leaning more towards a Steam Client "phoning home" issue. If it were strictly a Windows 10 issue, then there would be a lot more people having this issue.

Yes as mentioned in my original post, "Listed below will be my specs as I know this is not related to hardware. I also have Steam installed on my main (C) drive which is a SSD. "

Before I go on a messaging spree with the Steam Support Team, I am hoping that others would potentially know of a way to force Windows to set prioritization to that application.
