windows 10 detect only 16gb from 24gb ram

i have 6 x 4GB ddr3 ram and my windows 10 detect only 16gb
i have msi x58 pro motherboard with i7 920

6 sticks i assume aren't part of a kit and sets bought separately?

Two scenarios i can think of,

1. Couple sticks aren't cooperating
2. Faulty memory or motherboard/ cpu memory controller can't handle all dimms populated with 4GB dimms.

Troubleshoot by placing different amounts of memory in sets of 3 and alternate.

What dram voltage are they set to?

3. Bent cpu socket pins.

Use single ram module in all slots to find if it gets detected in every slot.
