[SOLVED] Windows 10 Digital Purchase?

Hi all, I will be building my new pc tomorrow and didn't buy windows 10 since I was planning on going to my local Walmart and buy it there. Long story short, they are out of stock. I really do not feel like waiting couple more days just for my OS to arrive. I've read online that when you set up windows without using a product key, you can upgrade to a licensed version in the Microsoft store and it will activate windows. I was just wanting to verify this before I go about doing it.

Microsoft provides the ability to purchase and download through the Microsoft Store. You will need to hookup a Microsoft Account I do believe, though.

I plan on using a USB to install windows, so could I just buy it on my current pc, load it onto the USB, then use it to install on my new pc?

You don't need to buy windows to get it on a USB stick.
