Windows 10 disk usage 100%

So I have an interesting problem. Heres the back story.

I built a computer for someone 6 years ago, it was a Gigabyte mobo, 8gb pny ram, 8150 bulldozer chip and gtx285 running windows 7 with 600watt corsair. It has been good for years, then recently the video display driver was crashing non stop.. like all the time. The owner wanted an upgrade since the card was getting old.

Fast forward to today.
I installed a new corsair ssd, Asus RX470, windows 10. I started up the fresh copy of windows and everything seemed good. Messed around for a while make sure it was working as it should.

Installed the Asus CD that came with the card, Upon reboot Disk usage spikes to 100%.
Went in and disabled superfetch, prefetch, windows search, defender, BITS, cortana and connected user experience services.
Reboot.
Worked for a few hours so I installed avg and Logitech g930 software and I fired up overwatch to test the game play, about 45 minute in it started it again..disk usage ==100%, then the display driver crashed.
Checked Bios, updated to newer version.
No luck.

As I type this prime 95 has been running for hours with no issues. The problem appears to be with the HDD spikeing to 100% for no particular reason.

Any help would be appreciated.

Set pagefile to a manual size, with an ssd you coul set a min / max of 800 / 2048

Check your ahci driver for your ssd isnt using msi

Ok, I forgot to mention I had already adjusted the page file and checked the AHCI driver with no result.

However, as I returned to the computer I see Prime 95 has indeed failed and stopped the testing, not exactly sure how long it ran for.
I attempted to restart the test and it fails instantly within minutes.

I checked the bios and returned all settings to default and disabled speed step or whatever the auto clock control is called on this.
The ram I noticed is pc3 10700 @ 667 x2. From what I understand the bulldozer play better with 1600 or better, so I'm not sure why I originally used 10700.

I reseated both sticks and reboot, fired up prime and it fails again within 5 minutes.

Pulled out stick number 2 and fired up prime again and its working now, no errors reported as of yet. It also seems smoother. I'm not sure if this would cause the disk issue, but there is obviously something going on with the ram, probably why the old gtx285 was crashing.

At this point Im likely looking at picking up a few new sticks of ram at least.
