windows 10 doesn't want to play audio though optical jack

i just upgraded to windows 10 and like the title says, it doesn't want to play sound though my optical jack. i got the Steelseries H wireless and i connected an optical cable as headphone sound, and then a USB cable as microphone output. but for some reason it plays all sound though the USB cable, even tho i set the optical cable as default. i want the optical cable to work so i can get surround sound, and for some reason you cant do that with the USB.

the headset is a driverless plug and play headset.
there are no drivers :/
