So i just upgraded my PC and i will buy a SSD now too. I have Windows 10 installed on my HDD in 2 partitions. One for Windows Tools and one for Games.
I want to downgrade from Win10 to Win7 without formatting, so would that work if i install Windows 7 on the SSD being able to use my HDD after on Windows 7?
Basically downgrading Win10 to Win7 without formatting.

Solution
What hardware do you have? Recent hardware is not compatible with Win 7.

If you get this running on Win 7, all your applications on the Win 10 on the HDD are unusable.
If you connect the SSD by itself you can install whatever OS you decide on onto it then connect the old drive back up as a data drive easily enough.
Any software and games installed will have to be reinstalled to work in most cases. Some games like Blizzard or Steam can be transferred without much effort though.

I'd stick with 10 though, why go backwards? 7 is nearing the end of support now.
