[SOLVED] Windows 10 download

Hello all!

Can I "download" windows 10 on a USB drive, even if there are already files on the drive, and, will a new computer without a software by default recognize the windows files and not any other files on the drive?

no, installing win 10 ISo onto USB will wipe drive, and having other drives on the installer can cause problems.

Best to use a USB just for the installer.

I keep extra files on my windows 10 installer flash drive. When you port the ISO onto your flash drive make sure the drive is empty, then once the ISO has been transferred over create an extra folder I just call mine "files" and put whatever you want into it. I have installed windows at least 200 times this way and never once had an issue.
