windows 10 error

i can be using my pc then all of a sudden will get a blue screen telling me there has been an error and needs restarting it says at the bottom "kernel security check error" can anyone help me fix this

How often do you get errors?

and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD

this will create a file in c/windows/minidump
copy that file to your documents
upload the copy to a cloud server and share a link here

someone who can read dump files will see what cause is

all of those steps are complete and it looks like my pc has already been doing memory dumps but it has come up in a DMP file will this be possible for people to read do u know

there are programs I think that can let them read the dumps. If you link it here I know someone will look at it.

dumps normally point out the cause of the errors

upload it? You should copy the file onto a cloud server like one drive or google drive and share the link here. We can copy it from there then.

you can also download and run who crashed: http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed
it will look at the dmp file and give you a summary, it might mention the driver responsible

it looks like i need to update the dc controller driver if i have read this correctly

Xbox controller or headset drivers use that file. See if there are updates

ntoskrnl is New Technology Operating System Kernel so its not the cause, that is for sure.

well i have an xbox controller plugged in which looks like uses that driver but it is up to date (so maybe it needs rolling back?)

It seems the driver is built into windows 10 and updates are through Windows update, but as of a week ago it hadn't been fixed - might show up in August update: http://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/56672-bsod-kernel-security-check-failure.html

it is called the powerA model:1414133-01

i have unplugged it now to see if it stops the problem do u think they might fix the bug in the next update?

I don't know but its possible, the next update is a new version of win 10 so I expect it fixes bugs.

ok well i will leave it unplugged for a few days and see if the problem continues if it doesnt then i know that was it.
