Windows 10 failing to boot after reformatting

I just reformatted windows 10 on my m2 ssd. During the windows installation it wouldn't let me use the drive until I changed it to gpt. I did this and successfully installed windows but now when i try to boot off the ssd I get a message saying select proper boot device.. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

how did you change it to GPT? it sounds like it was installed on legacy BIOS. set it to boot to legacy to confirm this

I changed it in the windows installation with diskpart and it's set to boot legacy + uefi

Are there any other drives in your machine?
If so, you should remove them before installing Windows 10

Yes there are 2 other drives in my machine just have never had this problem before

Windows can be weird, sometimes it adds boots to other drives because of the way they are connected in your computer, so best to always remove them before a windows 10 boot.
Anyway, try the other things people have said as that may fix the problem.
