Windows 10 File Explorer Crashes, Can't Access the SD Card from Phone

I'm trying to play media from my phone's SD card. Each time I go for it on my PC the F.E. crashes. No more media player. Poof. Start all over.


How do I fix this?

Probably a faulty SD card - - not a lot you can do if that's the case, except bin it and replace.

It's new, and it works fine on the smart phone. It's just when I put it in the PC it acts bad, so.....

I've often found computer's (and Windows) to be much less tolerant of even slightly flakey memory cards than phones are.

You could try scanning it to correct any errors pretty much the same as checking HDD for errors, but back up it's data first (to your phone's internal storage) just in case:
