Windows 10 First Build

So I've finally completed my first build, I just need to install windows now..... I don't have any data on my storage (brand new ssd), so could I download windows 10 onto a USB from my other computer which is running (windows vista) for free off or do I need windows 7 to upgrade to windows 10 in the first place? and then plug that usb into my new build? is this possible(I'm a noob)?

If you got a retail version (you got a license key) of Windows you can install it via CD / USB
If you have an OEM version you'll need a new copy

You won't get it for free, not now. The free Windows 10 upgrade offer expired on July 29th 2016.
