I am encountering a problem where windows 10 is freezing after startup. It has display and i can move my mouse but if i click anywhere nothing happens. I used my pc last night and i didn't encounter any of this problem, then suddenly this morning i tried to start my pc and it just froze and i can't do anything. I've had this problem before and the only solution that i know is to not use my pc for the whole day, but now i need to use my pc because i have things to do with it. I can go to the windows diagnostic and I've tried booting into safe mode but when my pc restarts to boot into safe mode all it does is just black screen. Does any of you encountered this problem before? And what could possibly the root of this problem?

Intel core i3 7100
12gb ram
RX 570

Update:
My pc is running now. What i did is i unplugged the sata cable from my HDD and started my pc, it booted into windows but its a bit laggy and the search bar in start menu wasn't working. I left my pc running for an hour before turning it off and plugging back the HDD. After that, i installed crystal disk info to check my HDD's health and it says in the software that the health status is good and there are no errors. My HDD is WD green 500gb and I've had it since 2014, I've formatted it a couple times since i upgraded into SSD as my main storage. Is buying a new storage the only solution so that this will never happen again?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?

I bet it's doing system diagnostics or updates in the background and simply not telling you about it

I've seen such things happen when Windows decides that boot or shutdown is the perfect time to download xxGB of updates from the MS Windows Update servers, and neglects to display such information to the screen.
