Very shortly after starting Windows 10, everything completely freezes. I have to manually reset by holding the power button. Occasionally after restarting I can get to the settings screen, and from there to the category with Recovery, however no matter how many times I select Recovery from the tabs on the left nothing ever shows up. Am I completely screwed? I did not make a disc, I just chose the "upgrade" option because I was told by the program that I could recover/reset at any time if I do.
This happened seemingly randomly; the upgrade was working fine for the last few days. I left my PC on while at work, and when I got back found I couldn't click on the taskbar or open the start menu. Restarted, then couldn't click ANYTHING. Restarted several times, and eventually I could click again, with the apparent side-effect of having a corropted OS installation.
Any help would be appreciated. Please keep in mind that any solutions will require non-Windows interaction since I cannot do anything inside the OS. Thanks
