So basically when I got my new pc it was all good and running well, but after about 3 days of having it, it just randomly started freezing up. I couldn't do anything, task manager wasn't working, my mouse cursor disappeared, everything was unresposive and the computer itself was still running, the fans, lights and everything. Please help I've been trying to fix for a week now. Thanks in advance.

I doubt if the problem is caused by your SSD. I've got Windows 10 installed on SSDs on 3 different desktops, and all are running without problems. I'd check temperatures, do a virus check, and run "SFC /scannow" from an administrator command prompt.

I've been battling this on again - off again problem with my Windows 10 freezing (intermittently, about once a week, so it has been very hard to isolate) ever since doing a clean install of Windows 10 in 2016). Was previously running Windows 7 on the same hardware without any issues. Only a hard power reset will recover from this issue.

But after eliminating about every bit of hardware except for the CPU/mobo/power supply, I decided to disable the Intel Speedstep feature in my Asus BIOS. That keeps the CPU running at default speed, and does not allow the OS to adjust it.

Have not had any freezes since. Has been over a month now! I am running a 3rd gen Intel Core CPU/chipset released in 2012 (Ivy Bridge), with the last, most current BIOS update in 2014. Built for Windows 8.1 is the tag on the product page.

So I did the SFC /scannow solution, and here are the results:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired
them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.

Also, thank you for your reply Tinstaafl, but I do not know where that is in my motherboard BIOS settings. My motherboard: MSI Z270-A PRO (MS-7A71)

Full Spec List:
i7-7700k 4.2 ghz (stock intel cooler, but it still runs really low temperatures.)
240gb ssd (Windows installed on it)
NVIDIA GTX 1070 8gb
(I said my motherboard)
2tb hdd
16gb ram
4 fans

So I ran the windows memory diagnostic tool and the results said that there was a problem with my memory and I should contact the pc manufacturer to repair it. It also said that memory problems can cause your computer to lose information or stop working, so I think we found he problem, what should I do?

If you bought the computer new from store such as Microcenter or Frys, it will be under warranty, The issue is theirs to fix. Try going thru the return process provided by the store. Likewise if you purchased it online, directly from a manufacturer or a website such as Newegg, the new PC is covered under warranty and you need to go thru their return process.

Provide them with documentation of the memory errors; snapping a cellphone photo of the error screen ought to do the trick.
