Hi everyone
Recently I have been having issues with Windows 10 freezing and I have to do a hard reset with the power button. This usually happens when I am watching a video either off the hard drive or YouTube. Even if the video is paused it freezes and there is a loud hissing noise that comes out of my speakers.
These are my specs -
Intel i5 quad core 760 2.8ghz
6GB RAM
EVGA nVidia GTX670 - 2GB
2TB HDD
Windows 10 64-bit
Naxon 650watt power supply
I've just had the power supply replaced under warranty as the old one was faulty and causing constant shut downs. The computer went back to the shop I got the power supply from for testing and they checked it out thoroughly. They checked all of the hardware and said it was fine - GPU ran fine in their machine and performed well under a stress test. My temperatures are all low and my CPU has just had the thermal paste replaced so it's not overheating.
There doesn't seem to be anything listed in event viewer other than the kernel power issue that comes up when you do a hard reset.
Can someone please help as this is driving me crazy. I have a Realtek on board sound card and nVidia by default installs its own high definition audio drivers and I have heard that they can clash and cause crashes so I've disabled the nVidia ones. Can anyone out there confirm this or do you have any other suggestions.
Thanks for your help
