Windows 10 Frozen at Log in Screen?

So today for some reason after I turned on my computer, I normally have to, "press any button," to get passed like the decorative start up screen. But this morning it took me straight to the log in screen without me touching anything. Although I can see my mouse and I'm able to interact with the restart button and such, it won't let me type in my password. I've already tried restarting my computer, plugging my keyboard into a new port and so on. (I know it's not my keyboard because the lights on it still come on) and sometimes it brings up that decorative home screen randomly like it wants me to press something to it continue but after I do it still doesn't let me type anything into my pc.

Have u tried booting into safe mode?

VERY FREAKY. I went into the bios and decided to just try exiting without saving for the first go and for some reason that worked?! I did not change ANYTHING in the bios but the problem is fixed. Not sure what happened, thanks for the replies though

When you did that, the BIOS resetted and reverted back to default settings.
