So I'm using Valley Benchmark 1.0 to test my overclocking. Currently I have achieved a stable 1.3GH/z on my Core clock and 3GH/z on my memory clock. I am running into a problem when my drivers crash do to my overclock going to high. They essentially cripple my GPU until I reset the driver. It forces my gpu power to 40% my core clock to 800MH/z and memory to 800MH/z. Has anyone else tried overclocking on windows 10?

Solution

I thought about the...
What card are you doing the overclock oh a 660 GTX.

You are pushing the card very hard if you claim you can reach the value settings you have stated.
In any case change the power plan settings in windows 10 it`s self to high, if you have not already changed them.

It is likely the solution to fixing the problem.
As for your Mobo, ASrock are sort of ok, but if you wanted more stability when overclocking any part of your system.
Always go for an Asus board or a Gigabyte, there more stable when overclocking.
Oh and a higher rated PSU in Wattage would help, just kidding 750W should be fine.

It`s likely the mobo And it`s power delivery try changing the power plan scheme in windows 10 to high though.

I thought about the windows power plan just after I posted this. I did alter the power plan for maximum performance and I am only able to achieve 88% gpu power at the highest point. I have achieved stable overclocking speeds for my http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/9204797?

The 3dmark test isnt registering my overlock but I can see it in the hardware monitor for MSI Afterburner.

CPU http://prntscr.com/90iwkq
Memory http://prntscr.com/90iy4m

My memory puzzles me. I have it set to 1600 MH/z currently yet it only reads 600 - 800 any ideas?

The programs that report it as half the actual. Speccy shows the speed actual before the double data rate.
