I've downloaded microsoft 10 from their website and createable boot drive onto usb. Im going to making a build tomorrow and i believe you plug in the usb into your computer while off > go into bios > change priority to usb and restart and save. That should auto start to load windows files. A friend just told me that this is wrong and i need to use a program

Solution
To "create" a bootable USB Windows install media from and ISO, you would need Rufus or Microsoft's own Media Creation Tool. It's not needed once the media has been created.
As long as you've created a Boot USB, that is correct; if you only dragged and dropped the Windows ISO file, then it's not going to do anything. You don't even need to get into BIOS sometimes, the first booting image will show you the commands (like F2, F10, F12) and one of them is for booting from another device.
Good luck mate.-
