Please help. It seems no one is having my issue. My computer was hijacked by Microsoft and it installed windows 10 all on its own. I reverted back to windows 7 immediately after this virus. However, I can't get online. The wireless meter says I am connected however google chrome, safari, IE, firefox all say I have no internet. I have been through every forum it seems on the internet. I have spoke to Microsoft. I can build any computer and fix any problem however this one has me stumped entirely. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of my drivers a few hundred times it seems. I have tired everything. I am really hoping someone else can throw me something new to try because as of right now I am giving up and ready to take my computer outside and shoot it.

Solution
install the GWX Control Panel ?? you don't download or install anything that's has to do with 10

why not decline any and all windows 10 updates ?/ all you say is go ahead and let them infest your computer then fight them ?

I don't get your thinking at all on preventing windows 10 ? never let any of it in to start with decline and hide right from the start

never download or install them , how hard is that and 10 nevers gains a foot hold your way it does and its in ...lol....

some for you to ''inspect / remove or just decline and hide''

KB2505438 (Although it claims to fix performance issues, it often breaks fonts)
KB2670838 (The EVIL Update, breaks AERO on Windows 7 and makes some fonts on websites fuzzy, Windows 7...
I don't have the pound of cure, but I can tell you about two ounces of prevention for the future. First, when you get Windows 7 working, install the GWX Control Panel. That will stop the Windows 10 nags and unexpected upgrades. Second, invest in an external hard drive and make regular full system backups. The first ounce here would've prevented the upgrade, and the second one would make it less than an hour's task to get back exactly to where you were before this problem hit.

Good luck.

some find that reverting back to your old OS is not so easy due to Microsoft got you on 10 and you get punished for doing so no telling what all got corrupted in all that upgrading and reverting

maybe best to do a clean fresh untainted install of 7 ?? that's if your 7 key is not now tied to that 10 and cart be reused [I would not put that past Microsoft due to how desperate to get 10 users anyway they can ]
you got screwed buddy I hate it for you and best of luck

eliminate is better then prevention nip it in the bud and no need for any prevention , right ?? worries over and done with ..

thing is as I said you all ready let them all in and gave them a solid foot hold and your using a win-10 app to prevent 10 ???

I don't even need to fool with that GWX Control Panel , good one ..lol....

I tried your method when KB3035583 first came out. Problem is MS keeps coming up with NEW updates, so you end up wasting a whole lot of time keeping up with these and doing manual work. As long as GWX Control Panel stops both the nags and the "upgrade", I don't care how it does it. I haven't delved into whether it deletes the updates before or after they come in and I don't know why anyone who's not paranoid should care. Remember though, just because you're paranoid, that doesn't mean they're not out to get you! 😀
