windows 10 home does not show mouse pointer on lock screen

Is this the lock screen at all times? Or only on startup?

Startup is common, I believe.

Are you using any sort of virtual machine/client? If so, you need to be outside of the VM at the time of a lock, otherwise the mouse pointer can become "locked" inside the VM.
