Is there any specific reason you might need the extra features in Pro?
There is no performance benefit.

Pretty much unless there is something specific you need from 8.1(and even then you can probably get it trough 3rd party aplications) get Win10.
It's MUCH better in my opinion.

I don't think I will use extra features in pro but the price of both OS are very similar.

Yeah, well then absolutely get 10. Not only is it much better anyways, windows10 will have DirectX12 so that will improve your gaming.

But if you find W8.1 or even W7 Pro cheaper than W10, grab it, you can upgrade to W10 for free until next July.

Windows 7 Pro / 8 pro will upgrade free to Windows 10 Pro

Windows 10 Home will not upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

Pro is mainly for business, like advanced security features and more network options, like joining a domain.
Unless you need these features, I´d go with Home version, as its easier to install Windows 10, than installing windows 8 and upgrading to 10.
