Look at that comparison list and at all those 'features' the Home version is missing, and ask...

I have seen that! but seems that I don't wanna use much of that extra features. But I heard people saying that "don't go for a home version, at least buy a pro license because it will give you more control & also comes with more security." I mean that really confuses me. What would you personally suggest me? what would be the sweet spot between those versions? And earlier I have mentioned in my thread that three main things I do on my rigs are GAMING, video editing and Multimedia. So would be the best choice for me?

One thing to consider is that the Home Version pushes out updates without any notice. Which may not sound like an issue, but if you're not running a snapshot tool (i.e. RollBack Rx) or a disk imager (i.e. Macrium Reflect) then you're bound to get a lot of BSOD's and other issues.

If you're going to go for the Home Version, invest in one of those tools. I use RollBack on my Windows 10 Home VM to roll it back. I also put RollBack on my parents PC with Windows 10 Home. I would say if you're using the other editions of Windows it's a recommended item but not essential, but it is essential (in my eyes) for any Windows 10 Home installation.

Look at that comparison list and at all those 'features' the Home version is missing, and ask yourself if those features are important to YOU. Only YOU can answer that question. If you feel those 'features' are a MUST have for you, then go for the pro version. But like I said earlier, the Home version is fine. You can use 3rd party programs for your security needs, and there are plenty available to chose from. The Pro and Enterprise version are more geared towards businesses and offer features most home users will never need, but of course, some may find those features useful.

You can buy the Home version and simply upgrade to the Pro version in the future, if you feel the need to do so. You can also join the Windows Insider program and become a tester of Windows 10 and get it for free. But please understand, this is pre-release software, and you will experience occasional issues. But, this will allow you to at least give it a test run. You can always opt out if you are unhappy. For more info on the Windows insider program, go here https://insider.windows.com

Best of luck with your decision, and do let us know what version you eventually decide on.

Thanks a lot. I have made my mind & will go with the Home Version. As you said Pro features are mostly geared towards power users & businesses, I think I might not need those features ever! So, Windows 10 Home it is. :)
