Hello everyone!

Long time lurker and first time poster here. I had built my very first custom system in May last year and since them I have learnt a myriad of things to overcome the problems I have faced yet this one has me stumped. My system always boots into the ROG UEFI Utility instead of Windows 10 and once I click ''Discard changes and Exit', it boots into Windows 10 Safe Mode. I've tried booting with all my USB devices unplugged, reinstalled Windows 10 with my other drives unplugged, Ran some bcdedit cmd prompts which did not work and even tried the MSConfig fix which hasn't worked either.

I am completely at my wits end and wanted to know if there's anything else I should try or just take it to a technician? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

My Config is:

Intel Core i5-9600K,
Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero,
Samsung 860EVO 250GB M.2,
WD 1TB Drive (D Drive that is currently unplugged).

Discard and Exit? Aren't you supposed to Save and Exit after selecting the correct Boot Menu?

It sounds like it may be coming through the motherboard. I would suggest clearing CMOS and updating the BIOS.
