Windows 10 Install Problem

I upgraded to 10 on my laptop. After a couple of days i reverted back to 8.1. I uninstalled the update to get 10. Now i want to install 10 on my laptop again. I installed the get windows 10 update. It says windows 10 is downloading in the back ground but it's be like this for 4 days now. Anyone know why? Can you not revert back to 8.1 then back to 10? It's not that big of a deal. I like 8.1 okay. Thanks....

There're only 2 reasons why you can't upgrade back to 10:

(1) You prematurely interrupted the process of upgrading and downgrading.

(2) You're using a pirated version of Microsoft Windows (i.e., upgrading to 10 does a force check on the license, tells them that it's bad, which flags you off for the upgrade but might allow you to downgrade. How this occurs or works cannot be talked about here, nor will I explain anything by PM. If you attempt to do so, I will immediately notify the moderators).

Thanks for the reply. Its a registered copy of windows 8.1. It came with the laptop i purchased. Windows 10 installed just fine and i used it for a day and didn't like it. I reverted back to 8.1 just fine. Now, when i try to get 10 it just says download in progress. its been like that for 4 days. Just thought maybe you couldnt change your mind back to 10 after reverting.

Wow. Never mind. I was looking at the download and i clicked on restore hidden updates. That did the trick. 10 is now downloading again.
