I am installing windows via USB but during the setup I cannot delete any partitions.

"We couldn't delete the selected partition" Error 0x80070002

If I just try to start the installation on the primary partition, I would get another error.

"Windows could not form a partition on disk 0. The error occurred while preparing the computer's system's volume. Error code 0x80070057

I also tried doing the fix of doing shift+f10 >diskpart>list disk>select disk 0>clean, but it would say:

"DiskPart has encountered an error: The system cannot find the file specified. See the System Event Log for more information"

Unless I restart the entire pc again, this would all change though, because if I simply press "Refresh", on the "Where do you want to install Windows" screen, all the partitions listed would disappear, with a message showing:

"We couldn't find any drives. To get a storage driver, click Load driver."

If do shift+f10>diskpart>list disk, my 1TB drive won't appear, only my usb that I am using to install windows on.

Even if I press "Refresh" or not, if I do shift+f10>notepad>open>my pc, the 1TB drive wouldn't show up

I have been trying to fix this for an entire month and have been stumped. I would very much appreciate it if anyone can help.

There are quite a lot of reasons that may bring about the problem: the hard drive on your computer might have been damaged; the partition reserved for system is broken; SATA cable is not well connected.

have you checked the cable is attached firmly to drive?

Go here and download Seatools Bootable and check hdd out - https://www.seagate.com/au/en/support/downloads/seatools/

The bios recognizes the hard drive so it cant be a problem with the sata cable. And how can I use the download tool to check the health of my hard drive? Do I download it onto a usb and download it during the "look for drives" part of the window installation? mb for my lack of knowledge, this is my first pc build

If you put it on a USB, don't use same USB as windows installer.
It makes a bootable test tool on the USB, no need for windows. You can run it from the BIOS on a blank hdd

Also for the boot options in the bios, is it supposed to be the usb downloading windows or the hard drive first?

On your motherboard, set the hdd as 1st on the BIOS tab (page 28 of motherboard manual) and in the Save & exit tab (page 36 of manual), set the USB drive as the Boot Override. This will mean PC boots from USB 1 time and next time it starts it will use the HDD.
