Question windows 10 installation has failed

I'd ask you to leave it as is, making sure your critical data on C drive is backed up in case the OS decides to croak. That being said I myself am on 1909, no matter how many times I click on the update button in Windows Update, it does not suggest that I go to 2004(or that I have that pending to update).

I also have an installer for 2004 handy(made using Windows Media Creation Tools) in case the OS goes corrupt since I have all my data on another physical drive.
