windows 10 installation help

i am about to buy windows 10 pro

but im really courious to know that if i install win 10 (not download but im buying a new fresh cd) so if i install windows 10 newly will those steam files on my c drive get erased ? or any root file from a game or a software .... like rockstar steam... and other which i dont know ....please let me know .. im confused...

If you will do fresh installation then it will erase the files. but if you will upgrade your operating system. then it will keep your files on your computer.

is there any way to upgrade with orginal windows i have a prirated windows 7 please help i can buy windows key but is there any way to upgrade? let me know
