Hello,

After I had found out that my Windows 10 upgrade is ready, I had decided to download it. First time I had tried, the setup got to configuring Windows 10 for upgrade and restarts. Though when it restarts, it just restarts back to my normal OS (8.1). I tried multiple times. Then I had found out about the Media Creation Tool and tried using that by putting it on a USB. It got to the installing Windows 10 part and it got to 100% and I get a message saying something happens: installation failed. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steven/Mrweatha

Hello Mrweatha

While using Media Creation Tool, in most cases the 'Something Happened" message is displayed when you select a different language than your current OS has.

In order to upgrade your current operating system to Windows 10, you must choose the same language when the Media Creation Tool asks for.

This tutorial, this tutorial or this tutorial may help you upgrade to Windows 10.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!!

Sorry, but this doesn't work. I have tried twice and receive the same exact error message. Thank you for the help though.
