I am trying to install windows 10 Home from windows 8.1 industry enterprise on my pc.But it was taking much time, more than 9 hours. so,i forced my pc to shutdown and restarted it again but it shows 0xc1900101-0x20017(The installation failed in the safe_os phase with an error during boot operation. It takes much time for system booting during installation of windows 10 Home

Solution
The error seems to suggest your install failed, so wiping drive and starting again might be best idea. It should only take an hour to install, not 9. If it takes that long it may point at problem being the drive itself.

I don't think there is an upgrade path from enterprise to Home. The only viable method is a fresh install of Win 10.

I would boot off the USB and blow the old install away and start anwer

follow this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it still gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will accept next on that screen this time (some PC just need a restart here)

if the installer doesn't work, and you are installing to hdd, use dban - https://dban.org/ - to wipe the hdd and start from blank drive
