Question Windows 10 isn't displaying temporary files

I had previously changed my temporary file location to a different drive, since then I changed it back to it's original drive and default location.. But Windows 10 is showing 0 bytes of temporary files when I go and check it. Disk cleanup shows 0 too.

So I downloaded CCleaner and sure enough there was 700mb left to delete. So what's the issue? Why isnt windows 10 or disk cleanup showing anything for temporary files anymore?

Are my pathways correct?

User variables:
TEMP: "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp"
TMP: "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp"

System variables:

TEMP: "%SystemRoot%\TEMP"
TMP: "%SystemRoot%\TEMP"

How long does it take for temporary files to appear on Windows 10 Storage settings and Disk Cleanup? Does it only show up after 24 hours?

Be sure you have File Explorer set to show hidden files.
