Question windows 10 keeps freezing.

Have not used this laptop in a while ...was having issues with wifi adapter so stopped using it. Now need to have it working again as kids are distance learning again. Bought a dual band usb adapter to connect to wifi which worked but now keeps freezing a few minutes after running something and needs a hard reboot everytime.

I am on version 1903...trying to get to update windows but freezes before that.

Did you go through all of the Control Panel Power Options to make sure everything is set to High Performance and Maximum Performance? Also did you go through the Device Manager settings for your usb wifi adapter and make sure the Power Management option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is NOT checked?
