[SOLVED] Windows 10 Keeps Installing Bad Driver

I have a TP-Link Archer T1U USB Wi-Fi dongle. It's been infected with black magic, however, and Windows seems to be the necromancer. If I have the correct driver installed from TP-Link, the internet works as intended (that is to say, not well). But within about fifteen minutes of starting up my computer, it can no longer get a connection to the internet even though it is connected to my Wi-Fi network at full signal with no interference. I check the driver and it's been changed to an older version from 2016 or something. I have to uninstall the driver through the System Preferences application and then re-install the correct one. Every time. I paused all Windows Updates and it's still doing it. Should I just get a better dongle? Because this one only works through front-panel USB ports anyway, even though the back-panel ports work fine.
