Hey everyone!

Since TH2 I have been plagued by an annoying bug. About 5-10 seconds after logging into my computer (there is no password and it is local login, so it just turns on and goes to desktop), but after 5-10 min after hitting the desktop, I get the "lock screen, switch user, task manager, etc" screen like a secure login screen. I have username and password disabled in netplwiz and disabled secure login as well.

How do I fix this?

It's XMouse Button Control. Hopefully they find a fix soon

Yes but they have no idea why it's doing it.

Someone came up with a fix supposedly but I haven't downloaded it. Download the portable version of xmouse and place the executable in your startup folder. It shoulder turn on when you boot up and not have the Windows lock screen pop up. Let me know if that works

It seems to work. After a couple attempts this seems to be the best option:

Install the portable version here:

C:\Windows\System32\XMouseButtonControl 2.12.1 Portable\64bit (x64)

(I just copied the unzipped folder to the System32 Folder)

Next; make a shortcut link by right clicking the XMBC exe file and choosing: "Create Shortcut"

Move the newly created shortcut to:

C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

This will make XMBC startup as you would expect (minimized in the system tray), and no longer triggers the secure login screen to pop-up.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully this will help others as well.

I've figured this out! It's a little late for most of you on this thread but here is my solution ~

OPEN the NetIQ App on your computer
Tab down to Preferences (located in the margin on the left)
In the .NET section to the right - 2nd row "Allow Single sign-on to Windows Automation (DotNet) Applications" Click on it and SELECT NO!
Apply

*Problem should be solved. :)
