Windows 10 key

I would like to know if I could use my windows 10 key (purchase key) more then 3x whenever I do a clean install or replace a hard drive, I have heard a lot of people reported that they had to purchase a license key when they do a clean install or replace a hard drive. the key that came with their windows 10 software work only when they reinstall the OS, but after the installation is complete they would see a message on the right bottom of their screen windows not activated.
And when they tried to activate with the key they get a message the key did not work. the installed software is on the same computer, not on a different computer. If I do need to buy where could I purchase the key without the installation disk.(just in case I run into the same scenario).

I have used mine about 70 times, and I know many people that have used theirs over 150 times. I have heard that the limit was 50 times, but that 50 is just a fable because millions of people, including myself, perform clean installs almost weekly for one reason or another.

There is no hard limit. 3 or 50....
If someone is seeing an Unactivated message after a clean install and entering the license key...either they did it wrong or they purchased a bogus license.

Now...if you do a reinstall every day, and go through the whole activation...at some point it will choke. "Too many times"
But there is no specific "number".
