Windows 10 laptop screen auto dims even when disabled

I'm really fed up with Windows 10's 'smart' auto dimming feature. Windows 10 is proving to be less of an OPERATING system and more of an auto-operations system, as Microsoft is under the impression we want all of our settings automatically controlled, and privacy settings set to auto dox.
Well, to be fair I'm not sure if it's actually Windows 10 or my graphics driver, although I can be certain about one thing, I have messed with BOTH of those settings, and shockingly each of them was disabled and the problem STILL exists. I bet you can imagine my frustration :) I've just had a shoddy track record with trusting Windows 10. I know I sound like an old man I'm bitching at technology, but I'm 18, and I grew up with technology. Anyway, my laptop is an Acer Aspire R, Kaby lake CPU with integrated graphics, nothing too special, and I only really play Binding of Isaac Rebirth on it. My computer really likes to dim the heck out of an already dark game which is already irritating. Whenever the screen gets dark either like in a Steam browser, and I go back to something like a YouTube video, I notice it's way darker and I have to lower, then raise the brightness to return it. I'm almost used to doing this, and It's wicked annoying. I have looked at many articles on how do disable this 'FEATURE' and no luck yet. Please, if anyone has any suggestions I'm listening.

That's odd. Might be some type of Acer software actually. I have 2 Windows 10 laptops with the latest Intel drivers - a HD 3000 Acer, and a HD 4400 HP...neither exhibit this behavior in anything but Kodi (which I'm pretty sure controls brightness settings itself).
