Every time I try to create a Windows 10 USB drive with Microsoft's Media Creation tool I keep seeing a screen pop up close to the end saying "There was a problem running this tool"
I am out of ideas of things to try. Here's what I already tried but no success.
Running as Administrator by right clicking the icon
Downloading the tool again
Using different USB port
Using different USB drive
Cleaning temporary files
Changing FAT32 to NTFS
Even using a different computer
Nothing works
Does anyone else have another suggestion to try?
I spent a lot of time waiting for the media to download and the error happens when it is creating the media.

SUCCESS!
However the solution doesn't make sense
It finally worked when I used it on the public "xfinitywifi" network rather than my private home network
Perhaps it wasn't downloading properly?
Anyway it was resolved and I now have the bootable USB drive.

The success of creating a bootable disk (With USB) depends on your burner,Rufus is good at this.
For Microsoft,we can install the iSO from it and burn it .

The last post in this thread was five months ago. If there was still a problem, there would be a more recent post.

The Paladin made the right suggestions. Get an ISO from Microsoft and make it bootable with Rufus so your post was unnecessary for three good reasons.

Thread closing time now.
