[SOLVED] Windows 10 - no thumbnails or date on files - need help!

Hello Forum,

I am really frusturated of this issue, because I had this issue on my old PC aswell.

It was actually yesterday that I built my completely new PC with whole new parts - but issue persists here.

The issue is, that files in folders don't show thumbnails nor dates on files. It takes forever to load, and it will just stay at 99% (The green status bar) and will never complete.

In the settings, the "show icon, not thumbnails" is not turned on so this is not the issue!

My specs are the following:

Motherboard: B450 MSI Gaming Carbon AC
GPU: ASUS GTX 2070 SUPER
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
RAM: Corsair 16GB 3200Mhz
OS: Windows 10 Home
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo SSD (M.2)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM

Problem is happening in both the Samsung and Seagate storage - so I don't think the drives are the problem. Not to mention again, the PC is completely new!

check in file explorer/view tab and click on sort by and set it none, that might help as well.
