Windows 10 not recognizing new ssd

I took my PC to the local repair shop and it's fixed now. It turns out my liquid cooler pump failed so I sent that off to Corsair today for a replacement. I came back to post again because I just installed a new SSD and it doesn't show up in My Computer or Disk Management. Since it doesn't show up anywhere, even after rescanning in Disk Management I can't format it or anything. It DOES show up in the boot menu but I can't do anything to it there. I have a C drive, that default 450MB drive, a flash drive and my new SSD. What should I do? I tried some solutions found here and on YouTube but since I can't actually see the drive I can't select it to do anything to it.

And what is it? An ssd? NVME?

Does the BIOS see it? If it doesn't. nothing will
