I just connected my new monitor "HP Omen 32" with my PC, which has gt640 from nvidia and can only choose maximum "1920x1200" resolution. As Omen only support freesync and my GPU is not high end and is from nvidia and i use my PC only for programming, there should be no problem with my graphics.

PC specs:

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit

CPU
Intel Core i5 3450 @ 3.10GHz 46 °C
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology

RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)

Motherboard
Foxconn 2ADA (SOCKET 0) 40 °C

Graphics
OMEN by HP 32 (1920x1200@60Hz)
3071MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 (MSI) 62 °C

I have already done following troubleshoot steps:
1) Tested with my laptop and getting 2k res.
2) Already uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and updated with driver booster.
3) created custom resolution and the display is blurry after activating custom res. settings.

Any idea, where the problem is ?

Solution
That isn’t specific enough - have to research the make/model i.e. asus/evga/gigabyte and SC/Windforce/whatever. Each manufacturer chooses which outputs to put on any given card.

So MSI “somethingoranother”

Edit 2: have you tried DVI cable? It does look like hdmi should work tho.
