Windows 10 or 8.1?

Hi guys, Iv just built a new gaming rig first time in 6 year as I'm coming back from consoles

Is it worth getting Windows 10 or should I get Windows 8?

Get Windows 8.1 now and upgrade it to Windows 10 by next July. That way, you can allow time for Microsoft to better optimize Windows 10. As far as I have seen, Windows 10 is a memory resource hog right now and 16 GB RAM or more is recommended for a Windows 10 gaming rig in its current state.
