My friend has this problem where at random times or when something intensive is running it cuts to a black screen. The sound remains for a second but the goes away. In power saver mode it takes longer for it to crash though. I read that it could be ram, gpu, or psu. We looked through Windows Event Viewer and found this warning
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
every 3 or so seconds while his screen was black. He has a Nvidia Geforce 660, it ran at about 40 c when it crashed I don't think that's enough to crash it due to overheating. If anyone has any ideas that would be helpful!
Oh one more thing. Before switching to Windows 10 this did not occur, it was only slow opening certain programs.
