Windows 10 PC Very Slow start Up (5-10 minutes)

Before when I built this PC it was perfectly fine with no errors but recently for the past week every time i close my PC for the night and open it up again the next day I realize that the start up time to get to my desktop is getting very slow. I haven't downloaded anything new and I don't have a virus

i think the problem might be that i didnt download my pc updates

what are specs of PC? Do you have a hdd or ssd?

Drivers can also be cause of slow startup too

Windows update are only going to slow the install down if its being installed, not every startup

i have a western digital blue 7200 rpm 1tb hdd

Download and run Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows, run the short and long tests and see if it finds anything.

Is this a brand name PC or custom built? If bran name, what make/model? If custom, what motherboard?

Windows update are only going to slow the install down if its being installed, not every startup

win 10 has a nasty habit of borking updates. My laptop slowed way down after a windows update. I had to do a windows reset to get it to run normally. This is the reason I asked about the updates I wanted to rule that out as a potential problem.

this is a custom built pc and i have a 7200 rpm 1tb hdd

Do you know what motherboard it has in it? and if so, what is it? I have asked twice already

run data lifeguard, short and long tests and see if drive is okay.

what version of windows 10 are you on?
right click start button
choose run...
type winver and press enter

latest version is 1703 Build 15063.680
