Hi, i am a windows 10 user since the day it came out. A few days ago my start menu stopped working and ofcourse i tried to fix it. in the tutorials they mostly use powershell so i started powershell trough the task manager (as administrator) and it starts like normal but i can't get it to expand from the taskbar (it shows up and i can kind of select it and type in commands but not actually see what i am typing or read its feedback). I tried looking for a solution but could not find it. Help is appreciated.

Solution
try this

open settings/personalisation/Task bar
in the left hand column, half way down the page, there is a toggle for Replace command prompt with Windows Powershell in the menu when I right click the start button or Press Win key + X

then try to open it with Win key + X
